The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Walid Haggag, in Sarajevo, as part of ongoing engagement with key diplomatic partners.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of strong diplomatic-military cooperation and to exchange views on shared efforts aimed at preserving stability and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Major General Fronda underscored the importance of close coordination between EUFOR and international diplomatic representatives in the country. Particular emphasis was placed on EUFOR’s ongoing cooperation with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on strengthening domestic capabilities and enhancing interoperability.
EUFOR remains fully committed to delivering its mandate under Operation Althea. Major General Fronda reiterated that EUFOR will continue to act as a visible, credible, and impartial force, contributing to a safe and secure environment across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
