The Greek National Week took place in EUFOR in recent days. The week was opened and closed with a flag raising ceremony with the Greek Consul Konstantinos Kollias, in attendance.
EUFOR’s troops received a unique insight to the different styles of Greek dress, past times and cuisine. A highlight included the traditional clothing from different areas of Greece. There was a man from the North East part, called THRAKI, a lady from the Greek Islands of the Aegean Sea and a couple, a man and a lady from PONTOS, whose people now live mainly in north part of Greece mainly.
The Greek week was a great success and we look forward to learning more about their culture and traditions.
