Today, EUFOR welcomed its newest members from Moldova. The Moldovan troops join the diverse force that exists in EUFOR Operation Althea as the 24th troop-contributing nation.
Their arrival was marked with a flag raising ceremony to signify the importance of Moldova joining the mission. Commander EUFOR, Major General László Sticz addressed the ceremony and noted,
“Your presence here, Moldovan soldiers, is a testament to your nation's commitment to peace beyond your borders.”
Commander EUFOR, Major General László Sticz also praised their ongoing contribution to security and stability across the region.
EUFOR welcomes its newest members and wishes them a safe and successful deployment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
