EUFOR personnel and members of the international community in Sarajevo attended a presentation and discussion with Mr Christopher Bennett, a renowned political scientist who specialises in the Balkans.
Mr Bennett used his experiences from his time at the Office of the High Representative, where he was the Deputy High Representative between 2009 and 2013, as well as data and arguments from his published books on the Balkans, to further the audience’s understanding of the 22-year old consequences of the Dayton Accord and to explore the potential for future political stability in BiH. His presentation provoked wide-ranging discussion, with notable points raised by embassy and military personnel.
The discussions continued well beyond the official event, proof that attendees found the topic and speaker intellectually stimulating.
