On Monday 21st of March COM EUFOR Major General Anton Wessely presided over a ceremony to mark the change of command of the Multinational Battalion. The Command of the Multinational Battalion was handed over from Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Sanz to Lieutenant Colonel Lukas Lamtsch, both members of the Austrian contingent in EUFOR.
After the ceremonial handover of the unit colours was complete both the outgoing and incoming Battalion Commanders addressed the troops of the Multinational Battalion. Lt Col Sanz thanked the troops for their hard work, cooperation and professionalism particularly during the challenging period of the activation of the IRT. Lt Col Lamatsch outlined his plan and intent for the forthcoming period for the Multinational Battalion.
