On Wednesday 6 June 18 COMEUFOR, Major General Martin Dorfer visited a number of units from the Armed Forces of BiH. The first visit was to the museum of the 3rd regiment at Kozara barracks, Banja Luka, where he met with Lieutenant Colonel Radojčić. They discussed the regiment’s duties and COMEUFOR was impressed with how all the artefacts on display at the museum are donations.
The second visit was to the Logistic Command HQ and Personnel Management HQ where COMEUFOR met with Major General Marko Stojičić and Colonel Milovan Nisić to discuss preparing the Armed Forces of BiH logistically for commonly accepted military standards. They also discussed manpower, doctrine and recruitment during the meeting.
The final visit of the day was to the 6th Infantry Brigade in Banja Luka. COMEUFOR was hosted by Colonel Radovan Jović who explained the current activities and the following days combined training exercise with EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion. Colonel Jović said:
‘The high level of professionalism and co-operation between EUFOR and the Armed Forces BiH is excellent’.
An excellent day of visits which enhanced the cooperation between EUFOR and the Armed Forces BiH and their development towards a self-sustaining operational capability.
