The EUFOR Mission Operation ALTHEA Operational Commander, General Sir Adrian Bradshaw KCB OBE was welcomed to Headquarters EUFOR, Camp Butmir on Monday 29 February 2016 by Commander EUFOR, Major General Johann Luif at the start of a 2 day visit.

This visit also saw one of the Mission’s longer standing members recognised. Warrant Officer 1 Herbert PENDL (Austrian Army) will have served as the EUFOR Mission Photographer from 3 December 2011 to 25 March 2016. For his exceptional and comprehensive commitment, and highly creative approach in support of the betterment of the AF and people of BiH, the General graciously awarded him the EU Operational Commander’s Commendation Letter.
General Bradshaw assumed the role of NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR) in March 2014. Under an arrangement known as the ‘Berlin Plus Agreement’, DSACEUR’s role includes the key command position of EUFOR Mission Operation ALTHEA Operational Commander.
